BELITUNG as a new tourist destination is a magnet for investors in the hotel sector. After several five-star hotels, there are even five-star hotels present in Belitung, now the facilities for tourists to stay are more complete with the presence of the Grand Orion Hotel on Jalan Pattimura, Tanjungpendam Village, Tanjungpandan.
Standing with 57 rooms consisting of 12 deluxe type rooms and 47 standard type rooms, Grand Orion Hotel is ready to provide services to guests visiting Belitung. The standard type room is quite spacious with a size of 4 meters x 5 meters. While the deluxe type room measures 5 meters x 7 meters.
Grand Orion Hotel began operating to receive guests on March 20, 2015 last. But during this soft opening, rooms were opened to serve new guests on the third and second floors with a total of 38 rooms. While 19 rooms have not been opened yet.
The management immediately hooked the tour and travel actors to become partners to increase occupancy. Grand Orion Hotel Management held a meeting and lunch with tour and travel in Belitung last Saturday (March 28, 2015).
"Gathering. Collaboration to make each other programs, make tour packages. We also cooperate for the upcoming Rainbow Travel Mart," said General Manager of Grand Orion Hotel, Bagus Hidayat.
The presence of Grand Orion Hotel is considered as a new spirit for Belitung tourism. Its existence assures us that tourism is the future of Belitung. It also can add variations in accommodation in Belitung for tourists.
